Challenges & Approach

I’ve always wanted to explore the complex and impactful issue of internalized racism—a topic that is pervasive and well-known, especially within the diaspora. This short was made with a talented cast, each bringing their own personal experiences and perspectives on the subject, which added depth and authenticity to the story.

The result

Import features a talented cast, many of whom have since starred in various other projects. Their powerful performances helped bring the important subject to life. The film was showcased at multiple Swedish film festivals, highlighting its impact and the emerging talent involved.
