Synopsis
Not all battles are violent. Meet a courageous group of women who takes on both the male rulers of the day and a corrupt grocery industry.
Challenges & Approach
I worked on three seasons of this incredible series. In the first season, I served as an Extras Supervisor, and in seasons 2 and 3, I took on the role of First Assistant Director. It was my first major project as a 1st AD—challenging but incredibly valuable. That period taught me a lot about production, management, and how different directors work.
The result
Fröken Frimans Krig or Miss Friman's War was well-received for its humor, storytelling, and historical portrayal. Its success boosted interest in Swedish period dramas and highlighted social issues of the era. The series's impact includes inspiring discussions on gender roles and tradition, and it gained popularity both in Sweden and internationally.
