The New Force

Overview

I was approached to work on The New Force, a Netflix drama series exploring power, identity, and human relationships within a high-pressure contemporary environment. The project combined emotionally driven storytelling with an ambitious visual style, bringing together an international-scale production and a strong ensemble cast.

Challenges & Approach

On this production, I worked as both Second Unit Director and Assistant Director, closely collaborating with the show’s conceptual director Rojda Sekersöz throughout the production process. The role involved supporting the creative vision of the series while helping coordinate the practical and logistical demands of a large-scale Netflix production.

Working alongside Rojda gave me valuable insight into balancing strong visual storytelling with emotionally grounded performances. My responsibilities included assisting with planning, scheduling, second unit execution, and maintaining continuity between the creative vision and the day-to-day production workflow.

The production operated at a high pace with ambitious creative and technical demands, requiring close collaboration between departments and constant adaptability during filming.

The Result

The New Force became a large-scale international production that showcased ambitious storytelling and cinematic production value. The series reached a global audience through Netflix and demonstrated the collaborative scale of modern streaming productions. For me personally, the project was an important step professionally, allowing me to further develop my experience in leadership, large-scale production management, and creative collaboration within high-end television drama.
